About

A little bit about me

I’m Kristen (She/her) ✨ . I graduated at California State University, Long Beach 🌴 with a double degree in Applied Mathematics and Mathematical Economics 🤓. After graduating, I worked at an amazing company called SpaceX 🚀, where I queried their relational database using MySql for the purchasing team 💰. Most recently, I’ve had the opportunity to work under an open source tech accelerator called OS Labs 👩‍💻, launching my product, Khartes 🌟 – an open source cross-platform desktop application to help developers manage their Kubernetes clusters. I’m passionate about learning ✍️, developing 💻, and producing wonderful products 💡. If you’d like to learn more about me, let's get connected! 📩 Contact Me!

  • Developed a cross-platform developer tool to allow engineers to monitor, identify, and prevent resource over-utilization in Kubernetes clusters while eliminating unnecessary kubectl command line interactions with an agile team of 5 engineers
  • Provided data visualizations with Chart.js, real-time, customized alerts, and self-automating YAML re-configuration suggestions using Node.js child process module to access the Command-line interface (CLI)
  • Interfaced with Prometheus monitoring pods and its operator stack deployed within kubernetes nodes through PromQL queries, transforming such data into time-series data visuals, and make custom alert suggestions
  • Constructed Kubernetes clusters using Minikube and Google Kubernetes Engine, ensuring local and cloud compatibility

Aliwawa is an eCommerce website that uses Log in Authentication with Google and Twitter. It has a beautiful Home Screen with posts of products to buy and sell just like any eCommerce website. The application was modeled using the React-Redux Toolkit to manage dynamic data throughout stateful components to one global accessing store. Aliwawa prioritized Test Driven Development with Jest and was built on GraphQL-based APIs and resolvers using TypeScript. The data was constructed with a non-relational database (NoSQL/MongoDB) with Mongoose. Aliwawa was architected with authentication (OAuth 2.0) via Google and Twitter to protect, validate, and secure user data. For more information, please check out my github or ask me!.

Welcome Home Friend is a pet locator website designed to help owners find their lost pet. This application was constructed with React using React Hooks, specifically Context API, a light-weight solution for component reusability managing complex state, allowing users to create, edit, and delete posts to locate their lost pet. The data was structured using SQL for its faster and efficient querying process, handling heavy-duty or complex transactions easily due to its stability and data integrity (ACID compliance). WHF is engineered a RESTful API with Node.js and Express.js, administering CRUD functionality to a relational database from the backend application server using routers and middleware.
